hi all just blocked a spammer, as you know they do come on occasionally - if they offer to show you photos or anything else horrible it usually means they are trying to send you to a scam website.
I've been reading up on scammers and they often target non English people as they think they can trick them easier. So if you know a person that doesn't speak English very well best warn them about cell/mobile phone scams (they are running riot on facebook at the moment) - your affiliates/team mates for example might come from all over the world - they will get disillusioned with the system if they are being ripped off all the time.
I know there are loads of scams on-line - we see them everyday - just remember to tell your potential customers if they will be entered into a contract - and have a really clear link to the terms of that contract - frauds and scams offer freebies and trick people into accepting the freebies, without knowing they will be billed every month - if you are a Networker as opposed to a scammer, set a good example - if a product/service is good a person will optin to a contract - no need to lie about it - the scammers on Facebook have a lot to learn from MLM - and that is kind of funny (if you have a 'ironic' sense of humor) - seeing as MLM often gets a bad rap, this time it's a big company scamming your children:
Zynga CEO Mark Pincus: “I Did Every Horrible Thing In The Book Just To Get Revenues”
This is an article (above) about scammers on facebook using games to trick people into phone contracts, teeth whitener that doesn't work and spyware/adware - which is usally linked to scams. they run popular apps on facebook like Mafia Wars, farmville, cafeworld, yoville and texas holdem poker - they are also just the tip of the iceberg.
If you are sick of all those adverts trying to sell you teeth whitener and other adverts showing fat women that can lose 3 stones in a week etc. Boycott Zynga Games - as they are currently the symbol of all these crappy products - they pay facebook a fortune in adverts, funded by ripping off facebook users - and adding to the recession by tricking people unaware.
Make sure your friends and family know the score - become the expert of your family to protect them from scams - as people like this will continue to do it - they are teaching it to college kids - SCAM TO WIN
If you give a dam about anyone then you know scamming = scumbag - so unless you are Microsoft or Google (who also show these adverts) keep clean.
night Zara x
